Promoting employee benefits helps Centrica retain its most valuable assets.

Share and saving schemes are a great way to keep hold of hard to replace employees. Centrica called upon Avvio to bring people up to speed with all the incentives on offer.

While employee benefits have grown into an integral part of motivational strategy, communicating them effectively has often lagged behind.

Since 2008, Avvio has been working with Centrica to create and distribute a variety of different messages to their workforce so that they are fully aware of the impressive range of benefits available.

From purchasing shares at a discounted price, to flexible benefits such as retail vouchers and private medical insurance, we treated the communications like mainstream marketing and segmented the communications to reflect different needs.

Avvio supplied detailed comms plans that took a considered approach to targeting employees, so we could use the right channel, at the right time, and communicate the right message.

Centrica benefits and schemes we’ve worked on include:

Sharesave and SIP – two schemes that enable people to purchase shares at a discounted price
FlexSA – a monthly allowance to purchase a range of benefits from retail vouchers to private medical insurance (See our FlexSA case study here)
TRS – a yearly statement that illustrates an individuals total benefits including annual salary, benefits, investments and awards for good performance.
